Living the Croatian high life!

It was a long journey to get here, but Croatia has lived up to expectations in weird and wonderful ways!! After a bus and two trains (17 hours) from prague, elyse and I walked to our Zagreb hostel, only to find that they had messed up our reservation. That left us wandering the Zagreb streets at midnight, until we ended up at Best western. It is laughably expensive and lavish compared to the hostels we have been staying in, but we are obsessed with its air conditioning, comfy beds, private bathroom, and lack of roommates!  So after loading our backpacks with stolen items from our free breakfast, we spent the day in Plitvice lakes. It was easily the most beautiful place I have ever seen! We hiked for about four hours, had a great picnic courtesy of the best western, and loved every minute in the most gorgeous national park that I could imagine! I can't wait to post pictures for you all to see! We leave for rovinj tomorrow, to enjoy Croatia's coast and escape the heat at the beach. If it is anything like the rest of the countryside we have seen, we are in for a treat!  And tonight we will be cheering on italia because we want them to be euro cup champs when we are there next week!
